Prolonged Silence

Last night my sister, her husband, her daughter, and I went to “Applebee’s” there was a kind of tense air I sense when we left the car to go inside. They we’re talking about the house we were moving into, I wasn’t exactly sure what the problem was since they talked in Kapampangan (one of the many Filipino languages) so I was only able to get little bit and pieces since I’m language retarded. So yeah, when we get to our booth, my sister and her husband on one side, my niece and I on the other, and they start quietly arguing to one another. My niece, not wanting to hear them fight, takes out her ipod and starts ignoring everything. Including me. Suddenly it gets really quiet and everybody is too themselves. If I were at home I wouldn’t have minded but we were in public and I can hear everyone else talking and laughing and I can’t but think “Why can’t we be like that?” so I start unconsciously playing with the straw wrapper. After a while I don’t know but I guess my clumsy self, hit my drink and it went all over the floor next to me. It was so embarrassing… Though I’m kinda glad it happened, it took off the tense air and we started to talk to each other and eventually laugh together. Strange though, I guess I hate it when it’s silent for too long and I start to unconsciously throw stuff. Heh. I guess it’s some type of gift I have or a curse. Now I know that prolonged silence make me think… think about sad things… I don’t want those sad thoughts in my head. That’s why I don’t like prolonged silence, it’s like being rejected by happiness.

Ah. Everyday of my life just keeps getting better and better! :D My goodness! I am flowing with sarcasm!

Anywho while my poor sister, Vee, was starving at work while my mom and I were hopelessly lost. To top it off it was dark already! So it was even harder for my mom to figure out where we were. So we guessed our way to Vee’s work (which I was amazed we found). It was funny cuz when my mom got out of the car and saw that our trunk was wide open. I was laughing because we made all those sharp turns on the way. Luckily, nothing fell out of the car. So then we rushed inside to deliver my sisters long awaited won-ton soup. XD What an adventure that was…
